Mission Statment:

Who We Are

We are a fellowship of imperfect people who are getting to know a perfect, loving God. We are experiencing His transforming power in giving us a brand-new beginning by healing our hearts and changing the way we think. And because Jesus died for the sins of the whole world, we believe He can save and redeem any person, no matter how broken they might be.

John 17:3 – “This is eternal life that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.”.

Romans 12:2“Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.”

our beliefs

Statement of Faith

  • GOD: We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
    Matthew 28:19-20; Deuteronomy 6:4; 2 Corinthians 13:14
  • THE FATHER: We believe God the Father is eternal, omniscient, omnipresent and omnipotent. God is absolutely holy, righteous, and just. His love and mercy were manifested in the atoning death of His only begotten Son on the cross. 1 John 3:24; Psalm 139:7-10; Matthew 19:26; 1 Peter 1:5-16; Zephaniah 3:5; Romans 5:8
  • THE SON: We believe in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His humanity, His sinless life, His miracles, His vicarious suffering and atoning death through His shed blood, His bodily resurrection, His Ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal return in power and glory. 1 Thessalonians 5:2-3; Matthew 24:27, 30; Luke 21:27; Philippians 2:5-11
  • THE HOLY SPIRIT: We believe in the person of the Holy Spirit; that He convicts the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment. He comes and lives in the lives of those who believe in and accept Christ as their Savior. He is the divine teacher who guides believers into all truth; and gives spiritual gifts to all believers. As we walk in and with the Spirit, we bear the fruit of the Spirit in our lives. The Holy Spirit brings vital gifts into our lives for personal growth, ministry and service: word of wisdom, word of knowledge, faith, miracles, prophecy, discerning of spirits, speaking in tongues, and interpretation of tongues. Acts 1:8, 2:1-4, 2:38-39, Romans 12:3-8; 1 Corinthians 12; Acts 19:1-7, Ephesians 1:13-14, 4:11-12; John 16:8-13
  • THE SCRIPTURES: We believe the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments to be the inspired Word of God. They are the supreme and final authority for faith and practice. 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21
  • MAN, HIS FALL AND REDEMPTION: Mankind was created good and upright, but by voluntary transgression fell, and is separated from God, and the only hope of redemption is in Jesus Christ, God’s Son. Genesis 3:1-7; Romans 5:12-21
  • SALVATION: We believe that salvation is the gift of God by grace alone and is received through repentance and personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and His substitutionary death on the cross and resurrection. Assurance and evidence of God’s regenerating work will include the internal witness of the Holy Spirit and the external witness of a life being transformed. 2 Corinthians 5:21; James 2:17; Ephesians 2:8, 9; John 1:12; Romans 5:8-9; 10:9-10; 12:2
  • HEAVEN AND HELL: We believe that heaven is the home of the saved for eternity, and that hell fire is reserved for the devil and his angels and all those whose names are not written in the Book of Life. John 14:1-3; Matthew 25:41; 2 Corinthians 5:1; Revelation 20:10-15
  • THE CHURCH: We believe that the Church is the Body of Christ. It is not a building, but it is born-again believers, built together into one family in Christ. The Church, as Christ’s Body, is God’s agent through which He carries out His will in the earth. The Church belongs to, and is to be governed by, the Lord Jesus Christ. Christ is the Head, the Architect, the Builder, the Cornerstone, the High Priest and the very Life of the local church. 1 Corinthians 1:1-2, 12:13, 14:26; Colossians 3:10-11; Acts 2:42-47
  • THE HOPE OF THE RESURRECTION: We believe in the resurrection of those who have fallen asleep (died) in Christ and their resurrection together with those who are alive and remain at the coming of the Lord and that this is the imminent and blessed hope of the believer. 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; Romans 8:23; Titus 2:13; 1 Corinthians 15:51-52

Ordinances

  • WATER BAPTISM: We believe that water baptism is commanded in the Scriptures. It is the unconditional giving up of our lives to the Lord. All who repent and believe on Christ as Savior and Lord are to be baptized. They declare to the world that they have died with Christ and that they also have been raised with him to walk in newness of life. Matthew 28:19; Mark 16:16; Acts 10:47-48; Romans 6:4
  • LORD’S SUPPER (COMMUNION): We believe that the tradition of Communion was instituted by the Lord Jesus at the Last Supper. Its purpose is to perpetually remind us of what Christ has done for us on the cross and provide regular opportunity for us to affirm our covenant relationship with God and receive His cleansing from our sin. Communion, consisting of the elements (bread and the fruit of the vine), is a memorial of his suffering and death; the symbol expressing our faith in sharing the divine nature of our Lord Jesus Christ; and it is a prophecy of his second coming; which is an encouragement for all believers “till he comes!” 2 Peter 1:4, 1 Corinthians 11:26

Ministry Leaders

Frank Davis

Lead Pastor

Pastor Frank, ordained with the Assemblies of God, has served the Body of Christ as a pastor/bible teacher for over 55 years. Having retired from pastoral ministry in the north Seattle/Bellevue area for more than 20 years, followed by 26 years of pastoral ministry at Vashon Island Community Church, Frank and Pam moved to the Loon Lake area and joined New Beginnings Church.
When the former pastor retired in 2020, the church congregation asked Frank to serve as the new pastor. His lovely wife Pamela serves the congregation as the pianist on the worship team.

Vicki Ferguson

Women's / Children's Pastor

Vicki is an Ordained Pastor with the Assemblies of God. She has a passion for women and children striving to bring truth and the relevancy of the Word of God to today’s changing world.

Tod Jensema

Worship Leader

I am a believer in Jesus Christ and believe that no one gets to the Father except through Jesus, as stated in the Gospel of John, where Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life, no one can come to the Father except through me” (John 14:6). My hope is that through believing this truth, people everywhere will come to know God and experience the saving grace of Jesus.

I am blessed to lead worship at New Beginnings Church here in Loon Lake and my expectation is for our corporate worship to bring people into a deeper love relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. Worship music has a way of opening the hearts of people and bringing them into the very presence of the Lord. Worship music does this for me every day of the week.

One of my favorite Bible verses is: Philippians 4:13 “For I can do all things through Christ, who gives me strength.”
